Unexpected. Check. Challenging. Yep. A little bit scary. Tick. Recent weeks have been a shock to many. And it’s been a roller coaster of emotions for the team at Lakes&Rivers too. When we launched our homegrown flower business in early 2019, we never could have predicted that we’d be hit by a global pandemic in our first year. But because we have such loyal customers, we could have predicted your uplifting response when we needed you most. That’s why we want to say a big thank you for supporting your local flower farm.
With the UK in lockdown, many businesses across the country have had to close their doors. Some forever. And it’s not just small businesses that have been affected by the coronavirus COVID-19, it’s big retailers too. So, the challenge has really been on for us to fight through the ripple effect of the coronavirus and come out the other side.
“We want to thank each and every one of you for buying our tulip bunches, and for supporting a local business through these toughest of times.”
Working every hour possible, founder John has been digging, planting, harvesting, cleaning, preparing, wrapping, and delivering each and every spring flower over the past few weeks. Even though he’s tired and worn-out most evenings, John still has a smile on his face when he puts away his gardening gloves. And it’s all thanks to you, our wonderful customers, who are helping to ensure Lakes&Rivers Flower Farm’s survival.
You're the best

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts (and John’s wheelbarrow) for supporting your local flower farm

Our flower farm is so much more than ‘just’ a business to us, it’s a dream come true. And, you’ll never know just how much it means to us that you’re continuing to buy our flowers even when faced with government restrictions and the worry that coronavirus rings. We hope our blooms bring some joy and brighten your day as you stay at home.
Carry On Supporting Your Local Flower Farm
On the farm, our beautiful flowers are still growing and we’d hate for them to go to waste. Each week we’ll be updating our social media feed with our latest special offers on our seasonal flowers. This means you can still enjoy a touch of nature and a little spring colour in the safety of your home with our unique flower varieties.
Thank you once again for your continued support. We hope you and your loved ones stay safe and well, and that we’ll see you all later in the year.
