ABOUT
Based on the grounds of Pond House in the picturesque Hale Village, Liverpool, we are re-igniting a passion for flowers which has lived at the farm since the 1970s — from the meadow fields to the grand old glass house; surrounded by water, from the coastal lighthouse walk, the River Mersey and the ponds throughout the grounds of Pond House Farm. We are a chapter in a long story of local farmers, and we are raring to write our part of the same.
The Lakes&Rivers flower farm name was born from our founder, John Gibbons’ passion for family. His beautiful nieces, Amaya-Lake and Ailidh-River, or as he always refers to them “two little slices of pure joy” gave him the inspiration for the name.
The location of the farm on the banks of the River Mersey sealed the deal. As John Gibbons’ mother would say, “water is the source of life.”

As we go into our second season, here, at the Lakes&Rivers flower farm, we are continuing to focus on creating quality beds and an environment conducive to producing the very best the farm has to offer. This season we bring you a burning passion and desire to cultivate romantic fragrant vibrant luxurious organically grown cut flowers.
We can offer seasonal varieties throughout the growing year, and our first batch of vibrant Tulips have already been harvested. As our season progresses, we will be harvesting a range of our specialist, scented summer annuals and bulbs culminating with our show-stopping early Autumn Dahlias.
We desire to bring quality seasonal blooms to flower lovers, local farmers markets, floral designers and pop up stands around the city of Liverpool and beyond. We pride ourselves, not only on our organic approach to growth but also on the variety and quality we can offer, over and above the larger producers.
Here at Lakes&Rivers, we care immensely about the environment and the land we farm off. Being natures friend is at the forefront of our practice. We run and operate the farm using only organic methods.
